What is Green Soapbox?

Green Soapbox is an annul event, organized by the Delta Emerging Leaders Associate Board, that explores an environmental issue impacting our local community. You are invited to join in our first virtual Green Soapbox discussion with local experts participating in a panel. This year’s topic will focus on understanding shoreline erosion in the City of Chicago and how communities are working address the related challenges.

There is a suggested donation of $10 to register. Your support will benefit the mission of Delta Institute, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization devoted to collaborating with communities across the Midwest to solve complex, environmental challenges.

What does the future hold for the communities along the lakeshore?

Panelists:

• Veronica Fall, Illinois-Indiana Sea Grant
• Tom Heineman, Greater Eastlake Terrace Park Advisory Council
• Mila Kellen Marshall, Principal Owner at Herb & Planning Associates/PhD Candidate UIC-Chicago
