Agroforestry systems require continuous living (perennial) roots in the soil, which prevent erosion and store water. However, less is known about how these systems – and their management – interact with crucial biological and physiochemical indicators of Soil Health. In collaboration with the Savanna Institute and Liberty Prairie Foundation, this webinar dives into the benefits, shortcomings and lessons learned of implementing Agroforestry on Soil Health. Other topics include monetization for Soil Health improvements, carbon credits, how Agroforestry compares to other practices as well as the physiology of aboveground organisms and how they affect Soil Health.
