Economic Benefits for Allegan County Farmers

Do you know any Michigan farmers in the Kalamazoo River Watershed? Please share this opportunity with them!

Delta Institute is partnering with the Allegan Conservation District and Michigan Farm Bureau to offer another round of opportunities to participate in a “reverse auction,” meaning that farmers can submit a bid for a payment they would accept to implement conservation practices on their land that prevent nutrient runoff. Farmers can choose to implement cover crops, strip till, no till, or a combination of these. Ultimately, this program will not only improve soil health among other environmental outcomes but also provide farmers with economic benefits and support for doing so.
