KitcheNet Named Winner of BOOST 2018

Chicago, IL (November 14, 2018) — KitcheNet announced as the winner of the 7th annual BOOST.

BOOST, a crowd-funded pitch fest that seeks to solve complex environmental challenges around the Midwest, is presented by the Delta Emerging Leaders, Delta Institute’s associate board.

The Delta Emerging Leaders are passionate young professionals who work as an extension of Delta Institute to create programming that engages and empowers young leaders to advance innovation and sustainability in Chicago.

“Last night, the community voted and chose KitcheNet as the 2018 BOOST winner,” said Bill Schleizer, CEO at Delta Institute. “KitcheNet founder, Trista, won over the crowd with her plan to bring fresh fruit to food deserts in both neighborhoods and office spaces. We are proud to welcome KitcheNet to the BOOST family and look forward to working with them to achieve their mission of equitable access to fresh produce for all.”

This year’s BOOST finalists included BareItAll Petfoods, Four Star Family Cyclery, and winner, KitcheNet. Each finalist pitched their business idea to an audience in Wicker Park’s Chop Shop on Tuesday, November 14th where the winner was decided.
