Elkhart Case Study (2011): Phytoremediated Wood in the RV Industry

In 2011 Delta Institute evaluated the creation of polar tree farms in Elkhart, Indiana, to both remediate contaminated soil while providing local lumber to the many RV manufacturers located in Elkhart. Phytoremediated wood (also called phytoremediation) both cleans the local environment while providing sustainable timber, as explored further in depth in Delta's Storywood tool (found in this Publication roster).
