Sebewaing hears overview for master plan work

An article in Huron County View covers the Village of Sebewaing’s November 6th council meeting where Cindy Winland and Emily Rhodes of Delta Institute presented an overview of their work updating Sebewaing’s Master Plan. The update is funded by a pass-through grant originating with NOAA (National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration) and going through the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (MI-DEQ).

At the meeting, Emily shared the overall goals of the Master Plan work, which include community economic development and placemaking, increasing walkability, and increasing commercial and recreational uses of the village’s waterfront areas.

The draft will be submitted to the village and MI-DEQ between April to June of 2018 and there will be a public comment period from late July through September of 2018.
